If she's called to be a Sister, I'd be thrilled. If she's called to be a wife, I'd be thrilled. Anything else, I'll be thrilled as long as she always loves Jesus :)

Keeping all these things in my heart
Madeleine LOVES Jesus. We have a holy water font just inside our front door that Fr. Dan brought us back from Rome for a wedding gift. It has the holy family and it was even blessed by Pope John Paul the Great. Every single time we come down the stairs, she gets SO excited. She says "JESUS!" and points to Him, then Joseph, then Mary. We also have this Jim Shore angel with the Nativity on our mantel. Ken said I should take it down because it's too "Christmasy." I disagreed, and left it up! Today we were walking by the mantel, and she squealed "JESUS!" and pointed straight to the tiny baby Jesus on the angel. We also have a crucifix and a little fontanini statue of Jesus and she pointed to all of them.

Beth, I just started reading random posts from your blog .... it is awesome. You sound like a wonderful holy Catholic family ... you could be one of my daughters! You will never guess, however, how I found your blog .. from your facebook post on dave ramseys wall! God Bless you .. Happy Holy Week .. Pray for a Kansas Grandma!
Thanks for the comment! Ha Ha - yeah we think Dave needs to recommend more than a $1000 emergency fund after our week last week!! :)
We'll pray for you - keep us in your prayers too!
Beth, I love the Jim Shore Angel, as a quilter I love Jim Shore's artwork and figurines!!!
Isn't it sweet to watch their faith unfold, Linus has just started doing the sign of the cross and praying before each meal and snack...if anyone starts to pick at their meal they have Linus to deal with and we all find it sooo endearing!
Madeleine is really very special, Beth. She already loves Jesus at such a tender age!
I am so excited to see how her love grows for him.
That is just SO sweet! Isabella loves to say Jesus, too. She just lights up whenever she sees a Crucifix, I love it! Isn't it going to be wonderful to teach them all about our faith?!
Oh I keep forgetting to ask you-
how did you get started with knitting?
Did you buy a kit?
Can you point me in the right direction?
Lifehopes, I taught myself to crochet (not knit yet) only a few years ago by watching video's online. The website I used is now gone but there are several good crochet and knit videos on youtube. There are also TONS of free patterns online. june.pumphrey@gmail.com
