Weekend stories

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, Madeleine has been keeping us busy!

This weekend we took her to Barnes and Nobles for the first time. She was not too thrilled. I didn't get much reading in, and we ended up leaving early. We tried again at Borders on Sunday, and she did great! She slept on my lap most of the time, and since we stayed about 2 1/2 hours, I ended up feeding her twice there. These are the greatest invention! My friend Michelle got us one of these and we have used it a TON already.

Later that day, we went for a walk at Clay Terrace since it was such a beautiful day. It was her first time in the stroller and she seemed to like it. We saw some friends from church there and they were happy to meet her.

And the best part of the weekend.... I got to do something that I've ALWAYS wanted to do and surprisingly, this was the first time I'd ever done it.
I got to go clothes shopping for Madeleine! I had never bought her any clothes, since we've been given so many. But since it's supposed to be in the high 70's all week, and she only had warm clothes, Mom and I bought her some weather appropriate clothes. Two cute dresses and a little short sleeved onesie with a pair of capris. They are SO cute on her! Then Mom went out and bought her two more little outfits.

We are getting ready for Easter. There are LOTS of people coming for Madeleine's baptism. I think it will be a great day and it makes me feel good that everyone is coming to celebrate her.

How exciting!! Her baptism! I never want to wash my kids for days afterwards... the chrism smells so heavenly...

Cool looking covers. I was never able to use any sort of cover when I was nursing... but, I do have many nursing outfits, so I am able to nurse without shocking everyone around me.

And, in terms of my conversation with my brother -- it's the Zofran that allows me to think about food without... well, you know...

How wonderful! It is so fun to take a new baby out. And for the record, there are times I STILL have to leave a shop or grocery store because of a discontented baby! But you get used to it fairly quickly. :)
