I can't remember the last time I actually got on the computer to blog! Mostly, that is because our keyboard broke on our laptop. Ken is ordering another one so hopefully I'll be back in business soon. Right now I'm borrowing my dad's keyboard but I have to return it tonight!
I really want to write down all my memories from Leo's surgery before I forget. But he is doing so well. His speech therapist said on Friday that he is the BEST eater she has EVER had. What a miracle! His food world has expanded tremendously since his surgery. I think he's totally used to his new mouth. He's eating some meat, all kinds of fruits and veggies, cheese, crackers, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, yogurt, etc etc etc. I'm so proud of him.
It's a big week at our house this week.... Ken is turning 40(!!!!!!) on Wednesday and John Paul is turning 3 on Friday. I still have no idea what to get John Paul. We do need a bigger sandbox with 3 kids ;) Maybe I can talk Ken into building one..... I really wanted to get him a kitty since that is what he REALLY wants, but can't talk Ken into it. I do have a pretty great cake idea for John Paul so stay tuned!
Hopefully will be getting some professional pics taken this week!
We've got the grill going again and Ken is the grill master, so I have ribs calling my name! Everyone have a great week!

Let's do Tuesday if that works for you!
A kitty! Ha! I'll be surprised if I can talk Frederic into a goldfish someday...
Congrats to Leo and his eating! I'm convinced your kids will always be top of the class!
Quite a week, indeed! How sweet that you want to give him his heart's desire...is there any kind of stuffed cat or toy cat that will suffice in the meantime?
Ribs with your name on it?
I like the sound of that!
Good times ahead. Happy B-Day to both of your guys.
A kitty would just take the cuteness factor of your family up a whole notch!
Do you have a "build a bear" store locally? Maybe you can go together - just the two of you and build him a kittie?
I have a great Kitty cake that you do NOT need a mold for. You use 2 round cake pans one is the main face. The second you cut two ovals off so that you have a bow shape left. Than you reduce the ovals down to kitty sized ears (You see this was originally a bunny design) and then you use licorice string to make whiskers and I use brown M&Ms for eyes and nose... very cute!
I also had a tip for my icing bags that was similar to a garlic press to make hair with so you can create a furry look too if you have one of those.
Are my directions as clear as mud? LOL
Best wishes to EVERYONE for their upcoming birthdays.
Oh how I miss grilling! The beauty of home ownership!! :)
Happy Birthday to all!
