Happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception!

She was an angel at mass this morning. Which is a nice change from her behavior at mass lately. And both babies got blessed.

Potty Training update!

Madeleine is doing SO WELL! I think it's finally really clicking. She's in pull ups pretty much full time, except when we're at home and she likes to be "naked girl." She has started to tell me when she has to go, and she can hold it for a few minutes until we get to a bathroom. She is also ok going in public places or other people's houses now. She has very few accidents - maybe one/day in her pull up. She is even going number 2 on the potty! I'm so proud of her!

That is great! Maybe you wont have two in diapers!!! That is a relief!

Was M allergic to breast milk?

She was (and still is so far) allergic to milk protein. So I had to give up milk and all dairy products for a year, then I started adding some into my diet and she was ok. You don't even WANT to know how long I nursed her :)
Now she's getting a little better - she can have some things with dairy in them, like a few goldfish or some bread with dairy in it, but no cheese and no milk. Her doctor thinks she'll outgrow this by the time she is 3 - I hope! And I hope the little boy isn't allergic to milk, because it was HARD to give it up for a year!

My aunt has to do the same thing...But she literally has to have plain grilled chicken and veggies, no butter no thing. It is CRAZY! :) It starts when she finds out she is pregnant until she stops breast feeding.

I understand your, pain watching her. I hope he isn't allergic to milk. But I am sure a sacrifice you would do over and over again! ;)

I completely agree. We are different than the average couple. Just like you and Ken. We talk several times a day, we do nothing apart, we make fun of all the fertiles together etc....You get the point.

I swear it is because of this, there is an added tenderness to our relationship and I think it is fruit bore from our struggle. I'm thankful for it! And yes! Gotta love camera phones!!

When you can show your husband your fertile mucus, and he says yup that is clear and strechy. You know he is a keeper!! TMI!! hahahahaha

That is so great! I've heard girls train quicker than boys (much to the chagrin of my good friend whose 3 yr old son still refuses to go poopy on the potty!), AND I've heard kids who have been cloth-diapered train quicker, too. Looks like those 2 are true in your case!

Can you have Mad call Mary?
Please?
;)

Cathy, you gotta let her go naked. Plus Madeleine gets to watch either a 4 minute video of Frosty or elmo on youtube when she goes and she LOVES that!

Oh, she goes naked. As in "goes" naked - in her "pee/poo corner."

Seriously, she could not care less about the potty.

I hope she's trained before junior high.

LOL! Well Ava just turned 3 and she wasn't completely trained until close to then. Every kid is different!

Hey Beth, if she is doing that good you need to get her big girl panties for christmas! When Maggie got her big girl panties she was so proud and wanted to wear them all the time and never had an accident!
