A little light

At the end of the tunnel.

Ok so 3 of the last 4 nights she has only woken up once and slept in her crib all night. YEAH! Also she's been taking better naps. Yesterday and today I put her down for her naps awake, and she put herself to sleep. Yesterday she slept for 2 hours! Today she's been asleep for about an hour so far.

Last night she was fussing a little at 5:30 and I went in to peek at her. She had her eyes closed, and she was sucking her thumb and holding her little lovey up to her face. She put herself back to sleep!

So I'm going to try to only feed her once/night. We're also going to increase the solid foods to three meals per day. I'm also going to try to keep her in her own crib all night. Then maybe I can get some sleep!

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Maybe I spoiled her a little early on. I figure if she ever wants a baby brother or sister she is going to have to learn how to sleep! :) I can't imagine having older kids and having to rock/nurse babies to sleep all the time. You just wouldn't get that much quiet time.

Our 2yo still needs help to get to sleep, and he's even got a baby brother! He's come a long ways from needing to nurse to sleep at night (not anymore). They won't be little forever -- and besides, sitting with them at night provides lots of quiet time...it's the adult time that we want!

So glad that Madeleine is sleeping better. How exciting to see her put herself back to sleep!

Glad it's better. But dont hold your breath! I would venture to say that dear M is starting to teeth and will be up a lot sometimes. Maggie still wakes and is cutting her 3rd tooth. Last 2 nights were awful. But the 3 before that were great. So it's a toss up. Hang in there.
