Let this kid sleep tonight. I've never met a kid who sleeps this little. She takes about two twenty minute naps a day - what is up with that? And she's been getting up every two hours at night. Anyone make Tylenol PM for babies?
oh beth, beth beth! i feel your pain. i could point to at least 10 posts I've done about the same thing and I was much more bitter about it than you are:) is she teething you think? maggie takes forever to pop a tooth through. she's on #3 now and it is on the verge of coming through. i just read an old mothering mag article about it being okay that babies don't sleep. while i agree, I DO need some sleep. and it's getting harder and harder to predict when she'll wake up in the mornings. i've thought my supplyu was low and that's why she was waking up so much. but i guess they are at an age where there is too much to see and do in the day to nurse so they make up for it at night. try giving her a dose of tylenol or motrin and see how she sleeps. if she sleeps better, you might know it's teething issues and it's perfectly okay to give it to her a few times a week. it in istelf doesn't make them sleep, but it relieves whatever pain they have so they don't wake up as much.
Beth, I too feel your pain. I am beginning to think that babies who sleep through the night and take decent naps are the exception rather than the rule. Monkey will take two half hour naps (unless I hold him...then he sleeps longer, but I can't do anything). He is nearly a year old and his nights are still totally unpredictable. I know it won't make you feel better, but at least you know you are not alone.
Nice to see you did manage to get one decent sleep though. Hang in there.

I feel your pain as well! I wonder if her ears hurt, have you tried slightly propping the mattress that she lays on...just a thought!
